Frank the Tank. Ron Burgundy. Ricky Bobby. Will Ferrell is famous for creating big-screen icons. In Golf Magazine's No. 1 Issue, he became the icon.
Our favorite bogey golfer recreated his three favorite moments in golf history, inspired by timeless images snapped by Sports Illustrated. Ferrell,
43, joined award-winning celebrity photographer Sam Jones at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles, where the box-office star became Arnold
Palmer, Phil Mickelson and Jack Nicklaus. Let's find out Who's No. 1. And...action!

No. 3: HAT'S OFF TO ARNIE!
Arnold Palmer charges from seven strokes back to win the 1960 U.S. Open at Cherry Hills.
Will Says: "This was the only U.S. Open Palmer ever won, but
it's historic for another reason. After the round, he was extremely thirsty. But he didn't want an ordinary drink. He wanted something with pizzazz. So his caddie 'Ice Tea' Jones said, 'Hey, let's mix some ice tea and lemonade!' Arnie said, 'That's stupid.' But Ice Tea said, 'If you don't like it, you can fire me as your caddie.' Well, Arnie chugged six gallons of the drink,
which became known as the 'Arnold Palmer.' That's why the 1960 U.S. Open was important because he created a legendary drink that would be served at Applebee's around the world."

No. 2: MIGHT AS WELL JUMP
Phil Mickelson wins his first Masters in 2004 and jumps for joy.
Will Says: "Shooting this was painful. I needed several Advil.
When Phil jumps, I think he's three or four inches off the surface
of the Earth. So I tried to match that with my leaping ability.
I got about two and a half inches, but I [hadn't] had time to
warm up. What I did get down was the classic Phil Mickelson
triple-chin. So that's what I'm most proud of."

No. 1: YES, SIR!
At 46, Jack Nicklaus wins his sixth green jacket
Will Says: "This is my No. 1 golf
moment the '86 Masters. It was
Jack's finest moment. He made a
birdie putt on 17 to lock it up. Notice
the look in his eyes [in the photo].
He just knew that putt was going in.
Unfortunately, this was also the
hardest photo to recreate. I don't
know how Jack got his body into
that position. My back's killing me!
How did he not rip his hamstrings or
throw his shoulder out of its socket?
And the pants? [Ferrell pinches his
spare tire.] Come on, Jack. You're
a wealthy guy you could have
afforded to go up one pant size."
