Chivas USA ended the first half of the MLS season at 6-10-5 with 23 points, which is tied with the San Jose Earthquakes for the worst in the Western Conference. The top five clubs in each conference make the playoffs.

Erick Torres leads the team with 14 goals scored in the first half. Mauro Rosales has eight assists for the club. Torres made the 2014 MLS All-Star team.
