Friday August 8th, 2014

Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina has completed his transfer from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, both clubs announced Friday.

Reina has signed a three-year contract that runs through June 2017.

He is expected to back up Manuel Neuer, who helped Germany win the World Cup in Brazil this summer and won the World Cup Golden Glove.

Reina, 31, made 394 appearances over eight years with Liverpool, winning three consecutive Barclays Golden Gloves awards (2005-08), before being supplanted as the club's top keeper by Simon Mignolet.
