Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is fit and should be available to play for the first time this season when United plays Sunderland on Sunday.
Van Persie was one of nine United players who didn't play in the team's opener, a 2-1 loss at home to Swansea last Saturday.
On Twitter, van Persie seemed to indicate he plans to play Sunday.

Van Persie was given extra rest after this summer's FIFA World Cup, in which he scored for four goals to help lead the Netherlands to a third-place finish. He had been left off the roster for United's U.S. Tour. The 31-year-old scored 12 goals in 21 league appearances last season.
