Reports: Argentina's Lionel Messi to miss friendly with groin strain

Argentina's Lionel Messi will miss the team's friendly against Germany on Wednesday with a groin strain, according to multiple reports.

According to Messi's club team, Barcelona, the striker pulled an abductor muscle in his right leg during the team's second La Liga win on Sunday. Messi played all 90 minutes of the match.

Messi will undergo tests on Tuesday to determine the full extent of his injury.

Who is moving on deadline day?

The match, which will be played in Duesseldorf, will feature the two finalists of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Germany won the tournament in July, and Messi was awarded the Golden Ball as the best player at the tournament. 

Germany's Mesut Ozil will also miss the match with an ankle injury.
