Houston Dynamo starting goalkeeper Tally Hall has ruptured his ACL and will undergo surgery Friday, the team announced.
Hall has made 68 saves in 24 starts for Houston this season. On Tuesday, he responded to his situation in a humorous way on Twitter:
Pain is weakness leaving the body! Or, it's your ACL snapping in half! #ACLjokes— Tally Hall (@tallyhallGK) September 2, 2014
Hall is a two-time MLS All-Star and set a Dynamo record for regular-season shutouts in 2012.
Houston is in ninth place in the MLS Western Conference.
