LYTTLETON: Summer transfer hits, misses

Green played for the U.S. during the 2014 World Cup and became the youngest player to score a goal in the tournament since Lionel Messi in 2006. He said Klinsmann is in favor of the move to get more playing time.

"Jurgen Klinsmann is happy about this move as well because he wants every member of the national team to gain experience and get a chance to develop. Playing for HSV hopefully means more playing time. And that's the place where you really get better."

Green and the national team will play a friendly against the Czech Republic in Prague on Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. ET.
