Paris Saint-Germain has signed midfielder Marco Verratti to a new deal that will keep him under contract until 2019, the club announced Monday. Verratti has played for PSG since July 2012, and has played in 88 matches for the French club. He has won five trophies with the club.

Paris Saint-Germain has signed midfielder Marco Verratti to a new deal that will keep him under contract until 2019, the club announced Monday.

Since Verratti joined PSG in 2012, he has played 88 matches for the French club. He has won five trophies with the defending Ligue 1 champions.

"When I think about my career, I only see myself at Paris Saint-Germain. I want to continue winning trophies with this club, while continue to improve as a footballer alongside truly world class players. Paris est magique (Paris is magic)!"

Recently, goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu and forward Jean-Christophe Bahebeck also extended their contracts with the club.
