Burnley, Sunderland both remain winless after dull scoreless draw

BURNLEY, England (AP) — Burnley and Sunderland remained winless in the English Premier League after a scoreless draw on Saturday.

Burnley had the better of the first half, and Sunderland came alive in the second. But Burnley finished the dull match camping in the Sunderland box for the five minutes of injury time without forcing the issue.

Burnley also had the best chance of the dull match in the 87th minute, when Lukas Jutkiewicz and Scott Arfield combined to tee up Ashley Barnes, whose shot deflected off the boot of Lee Cattermole, beat the goalkeeper, but rebounded off the crossbar.
