Luiz Adriano had a hat trick within 13 minutes, the third fastest in the history of the competition, as Shakhtar took complete control of the game.

Shakhtar Donetsk became the first team to score six goals in the first half of a Champions League game, putting its homelessness as a result of the Ukrainian conflict aside.

Alongside Luiz Adriano, his teammates Alex Teixeira and Douglas Costa also got on the score sheet.

The win leaves Shakhtar second in group H on five points, two behind Porto, which beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1.
