Champions League: Real Madrid overwhelms; Arsenal claws back

SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) — Yordan Minev scored a late gaol to give Champions League newcomer Ludogorets a 1-0 win against Basel on Wednesday — their first ever victory in Europe's top-tier competition.

Minev struck a right footed shot from outside the box into the bottom left corner two minutes into added time.

The victory moved the Bulgarian side to three points with Basel and Liverpool in Group B. Real Madrid tops the group standings with nine points.

Basel started well but was hit by the sending off of Geoffroy Serey Die in the 18th minute. The Swiss team kept pushing, but Ludogorets gradually gained the advantage.
