CSKA Moscow salvages 1-1 draw with Roma after last-second equalizer

MOSCOW (AP) — A freak equalizer in the third minute of stoppage time gave CSKA Moscow a 1-1 draw against Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Roman Eremenko's cross from deep flew over the heads of the Roma defense and went in at the far post with goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis late to react.

Earlier, Francesco Totti beat his own record as the Champions League's oldest-ever goal scorer as he fired the Italian visitors ahead in the 43rd minute.

In freezing temperatures on the outskirts of Moscow, Totti blasted a free kick through CSKA's wall to set a new scoring record of 38 years, 59 days.

Roma and CSKA both have five points in Group E, three ahead of fourth-place Manchester City which hosts already qualified Bayern Munich later Tuesday.
