LONDON (AP) — A goal in each half from Oscar and Diego Costa handed Chelsea a 2-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday, a result that moves Jose Mourinho's side two points clear atop the Premier League.

Newcastle began strongly and was denied the opening goal when Petr Cech made a superb low save from Remy Cabella in the 32nd minute before Moussa Sissoko hit the post on 36.

But Chelsea took the lead when Branislav Ivanovic swept a quick corner across to Oscar at the back post, who slotted past Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul in the 43rd.

Oscar turned provider in the 59th, cleverly flicking the ball into the path of Costa to slot right-footed past Krul for his 15th goal of the season.
