Virginia's Morgan Brian selected No. 1 by Houston Dash in NWSL draft

The Houston Dash selected Virginia midfielder Morgan Brian with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NWSL College Draft on Friday.

Over 81 games at Virginia, Brian scored 41 goals and recorded 43 assists.

Earlier this month, Brian won the Hermann Trophy -- which is presented to the best male and female soccer players in Division I -- for the second consecutive year.

The 21-year-old has also scored three goals over 19 appearances with the U.S. women's national team. In December, Brian was named the U.S. Soccer Young Female Athlete of the Year. 

She is currently participating in the USWNT's training camp in Carson, Calif.
