Real Madrid has entered into talks with 16-year-old Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard, according to The Guardian and Norwegian newspaper Drammens Tidende.

Odegaard has reportedly played his last game for Norwegian club Stromsgodset IF and will instead move to Madrid with his father, Hans Erik, who has been offered a job by Real Madrid. Odegaard will train with the first team and play for the B team until the summer.

The attacking midfielder drew interest from a variety of clubs including Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Last summer, Odegaard became Norway's youngest player when he suited up for an Aug. 27 friendly against the United Arab Emirates. That broke a 104-year record; Odegaard had already become the youngest player to make an appearance in Norway's top league.

Odegaard's transfer fee could be high as 20 to 30 million Euros ($23.2 to 34.8 million), according to Yahoo Sports.
