Liverpool is one of the hottest teams in the English Premier League with an 8-1-4 record over its last 13 games. Sitting just five points out of the top three in the standings, Liverpool will try to gain some ground this Sunday on the road against fourth-place Southampton.

Since losing 3-0 to Manchester United back on December 14, Liverpool is unbeaten in its last nine league matches with a 6-0-3 record over that stretch. Southampton has also played well in recent months with a 6-1-2 record over its last nine games.

Southampton is a slight favorite at +150 according to sportsbooks monitored by, with Liverpool going off at +180 on the road and the draw paying +240. These two teams have split their last 10 games against each other.

Over its last 15 league matches–since a 1-0 loss at rival Manchester City–Manchester United is 10-1-4, giving the team sole possession of the third spot in the EPL standings with 47 points.

The Red Devils haven't quite been able to seal the deal on the road of late, though, with a 1-0-4 record in its last five games away from home. The club is a -110 road favorite this Saturday against Swansea City, with the home team going off at +300 and the familiar road draw at +260.

​Elsewhere, Tottenham hosts West Ham on Sunday as both teams look to gain some ground in the standings. With only five points separating third place from seventh place, Tottenham sits right in the thick of things with 43 points entering this weekend's action. The home club is a -140 favorite over West Ham, which sits four points behind Spurs, at +375 and the draw at +280 on the soccer betting lines.

At the top of the table, first-place Chelsea is at home against Burnley on Saturday in a game that looks like a pretty safe chalk pick on paper. With an 11-0-1 record at home, Chelsea is a -500 favorite over Burnley on the EPL odds. Burnley is just 1-7-4 on the road this season and is going off at +1400 to pull off the upset and +550 to play to a draw.
