LONDON (AP) — Liverpool has signed a new three-year deal with Standard Chartered Bank to continue as the English Premier League team's jersey sponsor.
The bank's logo has appeared on Liverpool shirts since 2010, and the contract extension is through May 2019.
The current deal is worth about 20 million pounds ($30 million) a season, but financial details of the new contracts were not disclosed.
Liverpool has won only one trophy since its sponsorship with Standard Chartered began — the 2012 League Cup — and has appeared in the Champions League only once.
Liverpool has had a lackluster season, going from runner-up in 2013-14 to a likely finish next month outside of the top four lucrative European places.
