Nine-man New England Revolution keep D.C. United on toes in draw
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) —
D.C. United (6-2-4) remained atop the Eastern Conference — two points ahead of New England (5-3-5).
New England was down two players for 32 minutes and played solid defense until
Charlie Davies gave New England a 1-0 lead in the first minute of stoppage time before the intermission.
Both clubs had long undefeated streaks end in their last matches. The Revolution lost midweek to snap a nine-game unbeaten streak, while United lost in stoppage time last week to end an eight-gamer.
