Lucas Pittinari scored his first MLS goal and Colorado beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0 on Saturday night to end the Rapids' 11-game home winless streak.

Pittinari's volley finish came in the 51st minute after a cleaver flick by Gabriel Torres. It was the first time this season Colorado has scored the initial goal at home.

There was a weather delay during halftime due to lightning in the area. Colorado had its home game last Saturday postponed because of a storm.
Vancouver had a few good scoring chances in the first half.
