Watch: Gyasi Zardes scores United States' fifth goal vs. St. Vincent

Saturday November 14th, 2015

Gyasi Zardes increased the United States' lead to 5-1 over St .Vincent and the Grenadines with a well-finished goal off an assist from Jozy Altidore in the teams' World Cup qualifier on Friday night.

The L.A. Galaxy man got free on the edge of the penalty area, and Jozy Altidore ensured Zardes would have a chance on goal with a nice through ball that split two defenders. Zardes made no mistake once he was one-on-one with the goalkeeper, finishing easily to give the United States a dominating 5-1 lead over the Caribbean minnows at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Altidore would increase the lead to 6-1 not long after.

The match is the first in the U.S.'s run of qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
