Bojan scores as Stoke halts Southampton run with 1-0 victory

SOUTHAMPTON, England (AP) — Stoke ended Southampton's six-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League on Saturday, with Bojan Krkic scoring in a 1-0 victory at St Mary's.

The former Barcelona forward tucked in his third goal of the season after 10 minutes.

Stoke achieved a fourth straight clean sheet on the road, having lost just once away this season in the league, winning three and drawing three.

The only goal started with Xherdan Shaqiri charging down the right and Marko Arnautovic relaying the ball to full-back Erik Pieters, whose cross was flicked in at the near post by the unmarked Bojan.

Southampton's lack of threat in front of goal was summed up when Graziano Pelle sliced horribly wide late on.

Southampton has 20 points from 13 games, one point more than midtable Stoke.
