Abby Wambach to campaign for Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire

Former U.S. women’s national team captain Abby Wambach will join actress Lena Dunham in a kick-off event to back Hillary Clinton for president throughout the week in New Hampshire.

Dunham and Wambach will first hit Portsmouth for a Women for Hillary event​. Wambach will then head to Dover, Concord and Salem to campaign on Friday before traveling to Lebanon and Keene on Saturday, according to

Wambach finished her career as the United States’ all-time leading scorer in the World Cup and Olympics. She is also the top scorer in international soccer history with 184 goals. She won two Olympic gold medals and the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup title.

Clinton leads fellow Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders by double digits in most polling but trails Sanders by 4.3% in New Hampshire in the latest poll by Real Clear Politics.
