David Beckham bought coffee and tea for a paramedic and patient

Tuesday February 2nd, 2016

David Beckham has retired from soccer, but he has not retired from doing nice things for people.

London bicycle paramedic Catherine Maynard was assisting an older man who had fallen down in the street on Monday, and as they waited in the cold for an ambulance to give him a lift to a hospital, she spotted none other than Beckham.

“All of a sudden, I looked up and saw someone who looked like David Beckham walking past us,” Maynard said in a London Ambulance Service news release. “He said hello and got in his car. I said to the man I was treating, ‘I think that was David Beckham’.  Ten minutes later, he came back with a cup of coffee for me and a tea for the patient.”

Beckham also stopped to take a photo.
