MLS MVP Sebastian Giovinco started his 2016 MLS preseason the way he ended his 2015 season: On the scoresheet and acting as if he's done it before (primarily because he has).

Giovinco nailed an 18-yard free kick in Toronto FC's preseason clash with Cal State Fullerton on Monday, and he walked away from the spot without much fanfare as part of TFC's 4-0 win in California. Giovinco, who played the opening 45 minutes, dispatched the free kick into the upper left-hand corner with ease, breaking a deadlock in the 15th minute.

Giovinco, who hailed MLS as an attack-friendly league on media day out in Los Angeles, will aim to build on his record-setting debut season with Toronto, with his 38 combined goals (22) and assists (16) the most in MLS history.
