Seattle's Obafemi Martins writes farewell letter to fans
Striker Obafemi Martins wrote a letter to Seattle Sounders fans after signing a contract to play for the Shanghai Shenhua of the Chinese Super League.
“Thank you Seattle,” Martins wrote. “Thank you for everything. Thank you for the memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for the endless love and support, during good times and bad. Thank you to my teammates and coaches for always believing in me.”

Martins finished his Sounders' career with 40 goals and 23 assists in his 72 regular season games over three seasons.
