Freddy Adu is gearing up for his first full season with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, and he looks to be entering the season with some positive momentum.

Adu nailed a left-footed free kick for the Rowdies in a preseason scrimmage vs. the University of Tampa Tuesday night, the final tune-up for the squad before the NASL season starts. Adu curled his effort from 18 yards into the far upper corner, opening the scoring in the 20th minute. Former MLS players Michael Nanchoff and Tommy Heinemann added scores, as the Rowdies won 3-0 at Pepin Stadium.

For Adu, he's seeking a consistent full season for the first time in ages after joining the Rowdies last July. He had three assists in eight games with the club and signed a new one-year deal (with a club option for 2017) in December.
