Real Madrid and Wolfsburg will meet at Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal.

Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo will try to overcome a shocking 2–0 defeat to Wolfsburg at Volkswagen Arena in the first leg and advance to the semifinals for the sixth-straight season. Wolfsburg is making its first appearance in the Champions League quarterfinals in club history. 

Real Madrid is coming off a dominant 4–0 win over Eibar, and will need to have the same type of performance to make up the goal differential it currently faces against Wolfsburg. Real Madrid is currently third in the La Liga standings, four points behind first place Barcelona. 

Wolfsburg sits eighth in the Bundesliga standings and hasn’t won a league match since defeating Gladbach on March 5. The team is coming of a 1–1 draw with Mainz.

In the first leg, Wolfsburg received goals from Ricardo Rodriguez and Maximilian Arnold.
