Giovani dos Santos scored twice to lead the LA Galaxy past the Houston Dynamo on Friday night
HOUSTON (AP) — Giovani dos Santos scored twice and the Los Angeles Galaxy beat Houston 4-1 on Friday to extend their unbeaten streak to four games.
The Dynamo took an early lead when David Horst scored in the first minute, but it was all Los Angeles from there.
Dos Santos put away a long feed from Ashley Cole — that deflected off of Houston defender — about three minutes later.
Baggio Husidic scored in the 21st minute to put the Galaxy in front, and dos Santos found the back of the net from the middle of the box, off a perfect ball from Steven Gerrard on the right flank, to make it 3-1 going into halftime.
Gyasi Zardes ran into a well-played cross from Sebastian Lletget and capped the scoring in the 49th minute.
Houston is winless in its last four matches.
