Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reached out to Jose Mourinho about taking over as the club’s manager, according to Sky Sports.

The news comes after PSG was knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City last week. The club has dominated in French play in recent years, however, management is unhappy with how the team has performed in European tournaments.

Al-Khelaifi has offered Mourinho the manager position with PSG twice in the past, and is prepared to fire current manager Laurent Blanc to make the hiring happen.

Mourinho is expected to wait on making a decision until Manchester United finishes its league season and management decides on the future of manager Louis Van Gaal.

Mourinho does view PSG as a possible landing place if an offer from Manchester does not materialize, Sky Sports reports.
