The radio host had a brutal time reading ad copy for an NYCFC match against the rival New York Red Bulls.

Mike Francesa's radio rants on New York's WFAN have become the stuff of legends–for better or for worse–and his latest on soccer surely belongs in his hall of fame or shame, depending on how you look at it.

Between his internal struggle with how to pronounce David Villa, his inability to differentiate between the New York Red Bulls and NYCFC, his ensuing bafflement that NYCFC doesn't have a nickname and his calling Red Bull Arena a "cute little stadium," his segment on Tuesday is surely worth a listen or two.

And to think all of it stemmed from an ad read for NYCFC-Red Bulls tickets for the first of this season's rivalry matches.

Before this weekend, the Red Bulls and NYCFC play on Wednesday, with the Red Bulls looking to bounce back from a loss to D.C. United against the Chicago Fire, while suddenly surging NYCFC takes on Toronto FC.
