In a friendly against Australia on Tuesday morning, Greek midfielder Ioannis Maniatis scored from his own half—more than 65 yards away from goal—to give his club a 2–0 first-half lead.

Australian goalkeeper Adam Federici was positioned well up in front of the net, and was caught napping by the long Maniatis bomb. To make matters worse, coach Ange Postecouglu had just substituted Federici in for Mat Ryan.

“That’s my responsibility,” he said after the match, according to FOX Sports. “Every now and again we’ll get caught but that’s not Adam’s fault, that’s mine.”
