Iranian goalie Sosha Makani has been suspended six months from domestic play for a photo that surfaced of him wearing yellow pants, according to the Guardian.

The 29-year-old, who plays for Tehran-based club Persepolis, was handed the ban by the Iran football federation’s morality committee, which deemed the “SpongeBob” inspired pants inappropriate.

The suspension ruling is final and cannot be appealed, according to

Makani was previously arrested in January after images appeared of him dancing with a woman. He was released on bail after claiming to be engaged to the woman.

Makani has reached the Iranian national team during his career, making three appearances and being selected for Iran’s 30-man provisional roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
