June 10, 2016

Host France kicks off Euro 2016 as it welcomes Romania to Stade de France, where Les Bleus hope to be raising a trophy in a month's time.

Led by Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann, France is one of the deepest teams in the world, especially when it comes to attacking talent. That will be put to the test by Romania's stingy defense, which conceded just twice in 10 Euro 2016 qualifying matches. Romania was one of four teams on the continent that did not lose during its qualifying campaign (5-0-5), and it will hope to extend that form into the competition proper despite facing a motivated opponent playing in front of a supportive crowd.

Switzerland and Albania are the other teams in Group A and begin play on Saturday.
