Germany and Poland meet in a Group C match at Euro 2016 on Thursday.

Both sides are coming off wins in their opening matches, with Germany prevailing 2–0 over Ukraine and Poland winning 1–0 against Northern Ireland. The winner of this match can take a commanding lead in the group.

Germany is the defending World Cup champion and considered a favorite to win the tournament. Poland is led by elite striker Robert Lewandowski, who stars for Bayern Munich and will face several of his German club teammates, including goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. 

Ukraine and Northern Ireland play earlier in the day.
