Croatia and Portugal will meet in the round of 16 at Euro 2016 on Saturday.

Croatia reached the knockout stage after winning Group D, claiming top honors in the group after a comeback win over Spain earlier this week. Croatia finished the group with wins against Spain and Turkey and a draw with the Czech Republic.

Portugal reached the knockout stage in considerably less impressive fashion. Portugal failed to record a victory in its three group stage games and reached the round of 16 as a third–place team. After draws with Iceland and Austria to open the tournament, Portugal played Hungary to a thrilling 3–3 draw in its final game, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring two equalizers to send Portugal to the knockout rounds.
