Juventus signs star midfielder Miralem Pjanic from Roma

TURIN, Italy (AP) — Miralem Pjanic has moved from Roma to Juventus, with the Serie A champion paying 32 million euros ($36 million) for the 26-year-old.

Pjanic scored 30 goals in 185 appearances for Roma after joining from Lyon in 2011. He also weighed in with 12 assists last season.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder says "It's a great feeling, and I hope to score lots of goals, play well and win. I just want to make the Juve fans happy." Pjanic adds "It's always been difficult to play here against a great side, a great club ... I'm very happy and I hope our opponents will have the same difficulty and we'll win a lot together."

Juventus secured a second consecutive Italian league and cup double in May. It was a fifth successive Serie A title.
