Guardiola confirms Stones, Sane interest: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that the club is in talks to sign John Stones from Everton and Leroy Sane from Schalke.
Arsenal opens Mustafi talks: With Per Mertesacker out for months with a knee injury, Arsenal is in need of reinforcements at center back. His German countryman Shkodran Mustafi could be an answer, with the Gunners reportedly in talks with Valencia for a £25.3 million move, though no offer has been made.
Rangers denies RVP move: Rangers manager Mark Warburton denies all the speculation linking the club to former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Robin Van Persie. "There is no substance behind it whatsoever," Warburton said.

Zinedine Zidane fanned the flames on bringing his countryman to Real Madrid, despite Manchester United being the perceived leader to land the Juventus star on a record transfer. "He is a great footballer, and when you are Madrid you always want the best," Zidane said, according to The Guardian.
Besiktas eyes Balotelli: Mario Balotelli could be on his way to Turkey, with Besiktas president Fikret Orman claiming that the club wants him and that the feeling his mutual. Balotelli will have no role at Liverpool under manager Jurgen Klopp.
Guzan in talks with Middlesbrough: U.S. goalkeeper Brad Guzan is in talks with promoted Premier League side Middlesbrough, and if he signs before the weekend, he could face his current club, Aston Villa, in a friendly on Saturday. Boro has already signed former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

Juventus signs Higuain: Higuain is on his way to Serie A rival Juventus for €90 million, the club announced Tuesday. Higuain, who led Serie A in scoring last season with 36 goals, signed a five-year contract with the Italian champions.
Manchester United will have to pay €120 million for Pogba: Manchester United reportedly bid €110 million for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, but apparently that's not going to be enough. ESPN FC is reporting that Juventus won’t move on its €120 million price for the 23-year-old Frenchman. Juventus is also demanding that Manchester United pays all representative fees, according to ESPN FC, meaning the final sale could come out to around €145 million plus wages.
Lyon turns down Arsenal bid for Lacazette: Arsenal is still in the market for a striker, but the team’s most recent attempt to acquire a goal–scorer has been rebuffed. The AP reports Lyon has turned down a €35 million bid for Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman, 25, scored 27 goals in Ligue 1 two seasons ago and 21 last year.
Pep Guardiola set to make £100 million splash: Manchester City could pass a spending milestone in the coming days with a few more big signings. Pep Guardiola has already signed Ilkay Gundogan, Nolita and Oleksandr Zinchenko, and now Leroy Sané, Gabriel Jesus and Marlos Moreno could be on their way to the Etihad, according to The Guardian. Schalke 04 reportedly wants £41.8 million for Sané, while Jesus and Moreno—two promising young South American forwards—could go for around £20 million and £8 million, respectively.

Manchester United increases Pogba bid: Manchester United has reportedly submitted an increased €110 million bid for Paul Pogba, plus €10 million in add-ons, which would be the largest transfer in the history of the game, yet Juventus reportedly wants another €10 million before selling. Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, and United have reportedly worked out the details of a five-year deal for the 23-year-old France central midfielder.
Aubameyang has Real Madrid dream: Borussia Dortmund star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly wishes, one day, to play for Real Madrid, the only club for which he'd leave the Bundesliga power. Aubameyang told ZDF: "This year, no. But the only club I would leave Dortmund for are Real Madrid. If they don't come calling, I don't leave."
Agent says no Arsenal bid for Mahrez: Arsenal has reportedly yet to lodge an official bid for Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez amid speculation that he'd trade the Foxes for the Gunners, the player's agent says. Reports over the weekend suggested the London power was set to make a £42 million swoop for the Leicester centerpiece.
Tevez says Napoli, Chelsea were interested: Carlos Tevez says he will remain with Boca Juniors for the rest of his career, but he reveals that Napoli and Chelsea were interested in luring him back to Europe. Tevez played for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte at Juventus.
Icardi not for sale: Inter Milan is adamant that 23-year-old Argentine forward Mauro Icardi is not for sale, despite interest from fellow Serie A side Napoli.
