Plane carrying Brazil's Chapecoense soccer team crashes
Thursday December 1st, 2016

EA Sports paid tribute to the Brazilian soccer team Chapecoense by including them in the popular soccer game, FIFA 17.

In the FIFA Ultimate Team, which is the online game mode, players can choose Chapecoense’s badge plus the team's home and away kits when they play.

When players open up the Ultimate Team, they will see a screen that reads, "Wear this kit and crest in support of the friends, family, and fans of Chapecoense," The badge and kits will show up under club’s new items.

The gesture is just one of the many tributes from the soccer community for the team after a Monday plane crash in Colombia killed nearly the entire squad.

The crash carried most of Chapecoense’s players and staff and left 71 dead. There were only six survivors, including three from Chapecoense team.
