Paulinho scored a hat trick, and Neymar delivered a sensational complement with a chipped finish as Brazil rolled to a 4-1 win over Uruguay in a 2018 World Cup qualifier Thursday night.

Neymar extended Brazil’s 2–1 lead with a 73rd-minute score, the 51st goal of his international career.

Neymar took a ball from over the top, beat his defender and chipped in a delicate, impressive, arcing ball placed perfectly into the opposite corner to cement Brazil’s win. He is within four of Romario for third place among Brazil's all-time goal scorers all-time. Ronaldo is second with 62 goals, trailing Pele, with 77.

Under new manager Tite, Brazil has won seven consecutive qualifiers and essentially locked up a spot at Russia 2018, with five games remaining. The Seleção take on Paraguay on Tuesday, while Uruguay, in second in CONMEBOL seven points behind Brazil, plays at Peru on Tuesday.
