Mexico and Honduras will square off Thursday in the 2017 Gold Cup quarterfinals at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Mexico bested El Salvador, Jamaica, and Curaçao in group stage on the way to their quarterfinal match up with Honduras, while the Honduras side barely escaped the group stage, opening the tournament with a loss to Costa Rica, bouncing back with a 3-0 victory over French Guiana, and closing the stage with a 0-0 draw against Canada.

Both sides have high hopes to advance to the semifinals with a win. The United States already advanced to the semifinal by beating El Salvador 2–0 on Wednesday.
