Microsoft’s Xbox Series S is generally one of the best values in video game consoles at $299, but this Cyber Monday it’s just $239.99 from both Amazon and Microsoft.

This compact next-generation console doesn’t take up as much space as the Xbox Series X or a PS5, is generally easier to find, and can handle large AAA games. In fact, it games at high-frame-rates with ease and plays at a 1440p resolution.

So for the $239.99 price point you get the console itself and an Xbox Wireless Controller. Inside the console is all the hardware needed to play games plus a 512GB solid state drive to hold games and quickly toss them up for play.

It’s also a digital only console meaning you’ll download or stream everything. There is no disc drive on the Xbox Series S. And when you need to expand storage you can plug a drive in or get a specialized Seagate accessory a swifter experience.

The Series S can handle all of the big AAA games and fully supports Xbox GamePass. A separate subscription service that gives you instant access to hundreds of games on your Series S, as well as PC and phone, as well as access to online gameplay. That’s currently discounted to $40 for a three-month subscription.
