Fox has won the United States English-language broadcasting rights to the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, according to a tweet Grant Wahl of Sports Illustrated. NBC owned Telemundo has reportedly won the United States Spanish-language broadcasting rights.

Wahl reported earlier that ESPN, who had owned the English-language rights for the World Cup from 1994-2014, had been outbid for the upcoming tournaments set to take place in Qatar and Russia. ESPN paid $100 million for the English Language rights for the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
