Report: Atlanta Braves Derek Lowe Trade To Cleveland Indians

Derek Lowe has been traded from the Atlanta Braves to the Cleveland Indians, according to a Tweet from Sports Illustrated’s John Heyman.

According to Heyman, the Braves will likely still have to pay $10 million of Lowe’s $15 million salary in 2012. The team has reportedly received a minor-league pitcher in the deal.

Lowe signed a four-year $60 million deal with the Braves as a free-agent in 2009. The deal called for Lowe to earn $15 million each season.
