Report: Ole Miss Football Coach Houston Nutt to be Fired After Season

Ole Miss football coach Houston Nutt has been informed he will be fired at the end of the season, according to CBSSports.com. The decision was reportedly made after Ole Miss’ 30-13 loss against Kentucky.

Nutt joined Ole Miss in 2008 and led the team to 9-4 records in his first two seasons as head coach and two consecutive wins in the Cotton Bowl.

Nutt’s initial success has been followed up with a 4-8 record in 2010 and an unpromising 2-7 start to this season, leading the team’s unsurprising decision to part with Nutt at the end of the season.
