Ole Miss football coach Houston Nutt has been informed he will be fired at the end of the season, according to The decision was reportedly made after Ole Miss’ 30-13 loss against Kentucky.

Nutt joined Ole Miss in 2008 and led the team to 9-4 records in his first two seasons as head coach and two consecutive wins in the Cotton Bowl.

Nutt’s initial success has been followed up with a 4-8 record in 2010 and an unpromising 2-7 start to this season, leading the team’s unsurprising decision to part with Nutt at the end of the season.
