Report: Marlins Offer Jose Reyes $111 Million Over Six Years, Mets Out Of Bidding

The Miami Marlins have increased their offer to infielder Jose Reyes to $111 million over 6 years, according to ESPNDeportes.com.

The Marlins have been in hot pursuit of Reyes, but their last reported offer was some $21 million lower over the same span.

MLBTradeRumors.com cites Joel Sherman of the New York Post in reporting that the Mets -- the team for which Reyes has played for the past nine seasons -- have not been informed of the increase in Miami's offer.
