The Chicago Bulls are working on extending the contract of 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose, general manager Gar Forman tells the team's official Twitter feed.

On his  way to becoming the youngest-ever NBA MVP, Rose averaged 25 points, 7.7 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game, and led the Bulls to the top seed in the playoffs, where they ultimately lost to the Miami Heat in the Conference Finals.
