Report: Scott Hairston Expected To Re-Sign With The Mets

Backup outfielder Scott Hairston is expected to re-sign with the New York Mets, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.

Hariston, 31, hit .235/.303/.470 with seven home runs and 24 RBI in 79 games for the Mets in 2011. Over the course of his career, his 162 game average has been .244/.303/.437 with 19 home runs and 56 RBI.
