Sam Hurd Criminal Trial Scheduled For April 2

A date has been set for the criminal trial of former NFL receiver Sam Hurd -- the former Cowboy and Bear will appear in federal court on April 2 to face drug possession and conspiracy charges, according to the Associated Press.

U.S. District Judge Jorge Solis set a pretrial conference for March 21 and an  April trial in Dallas federal court. Hurd is accused of trying to buy large quantities of marijuana and cocaine.
