Yankees Sign RP David Aardsma
The New York Yankees have signed reliever David Aardsma to a Major League contract, according to MLB.com writer Bryan Hoch.
“The move could help us in 2012, but it has a lot more eyes toward 2013,” Yankees GM Brian Cashman said.
Aardsma underwent Tommy John surgery last July, will make about $500,000 this season with a club option for 2013. He will likely return to pitch around mid-season for the Yankees.
