Freddy Garcia Out With Hand Injury

New York Yankees starter Freddy Garcia exited the game this afternoon and will head to receive X-rays on his right hand, according to a tweet from Yankees beat writer Marc Carig.

The incident occurred when Garcia attempted to field a ball hit by Edwin Encarnacion. The Yankees have deemed the X-rays a precautionary measure. Garcia, is a two-time All-Star and was a World Series champion in 2005. He spent last season with the Yankees pitching  posting a 12-8 record with 3.62 ERA and 96 strikeouts. During his, he has posted 145 wins with a 4.09 ERA and has had 1,486 strike outs.
